Ochko123 - How the Feds Caught Russian Mega-Carder Roman Seleznev

It struck me while watching this that it's not a subject most DUers would be familiar with, and it's also relevant to the methods used by the Mueller crew in tracking down the internet crimes committed by Donald Yanukovych Trump & Co.

It also great viewing for a warm afternoon. Pour a beer or pastis and enjoy!

In this particular case the hacker was shown to be not so smart but still able to cause a lot damage and make a lot of money.

It might not have hurt that his father was a member of the Russian Duma. One piece of the presentation was how poppa discussed ways to bribe the prosecutors, etc. Still, dumpf loves him some putin.

It caught me off guard too.

I guess if you steal hundreds of millions from 3700 banks around the world a different term is needed. Plus, apparent protection from Putin and the FSB. We need a whole host of new words for crimes of that scale.

400 victims, mostly small businesses nationwide.

And no funds were recovered.

Cohen had 16 phones and much more seized by the FBI. I can't wait to see a presentation on that forensic evidence.
