In that Town Hall and during the moment in Congress when he gave a thumbs down to the GOP bill to kill Obamacare.

and in the right way, but what bothered me then and still does, is why is that considered exceptional? Any reasonable person should have responded that way, yet it is so rare these days.

That is not meant to be a diss on McCain, but on most republicans who don't have the decency to shut that kind of crap down.

I would not be pleased if a Democrat had done that in response to someone mischaracterizing a Republican candidate. I could see him not affirming what she said and even disagreeing with it. For instance, if a Democrat said that a citizen "had nothing to fear from (such and such Republican) becoming president," I would not care for that. Now, all that said, I'm glad that McCain did say that!

He was brave to say that to his supporters, knowing how they felt about him. This video shows who McCain was. A decent person deserving of respect.
