IIRC, when the Judiciary committee had Sessions and a witness and Gorsuch, there were several interactions between Dem Senators and the witness where Republicans jumped in with objections or points of order to slow things down and throw off the questioner's tempo. In those cases, again IIRC, the questions seemed much less pointed and focused than Harris.

She's going in like a heat seeking missile and the Repubs on the committee are just sitting back watching. No complaints about badgering, no complaints about letting the witness answer, nothing about asked & answered. In watching it again, they're letting Harris have her way with him.

Why ?

I think it's because they know what she knows...in detail. And, if we're all lucky, they've concluded that whatever it is she has is going to sink him. As any good prosecutor would, I'm hoping she springs it at the most opportune time to "win the case".
