(2,275 posts)100% grade A hypocrites.
May Democrats and the progressive media community keep putting out material like this... Sadly, this one, while drop-dead brilliant, was a bit too subtle for many so-called conservatives (And conservative is out given they are NOT conserving our religious traditions in the least and should be categorized as the radically materialistic).

(21,105 posts)less than 50 for this to be too subtle.....oh wait....it IS repugs we are discussing.

(44 posts)This Youtube should be shared throughout the Social Media. The scene may be more of a comedy, however, it undoubtedly represents the hypocrisy and the heartless Republican Party; in living color, for all eyes to see!!
Thank you for posting this Fritz Walter.

(2,275 posts)are more in line with their religious roots than the Republicans? You can be secular but still honor your roots.

(14,489 posts)my reason for including "secular" was because some of our sectarian Democrat friends might take offense to the video.
The way I see Democrats overall, we embrace basic humanist values as the foundation for our platform and for each individual, religion is optional. Our basic moral principles were around long before any religion existed.
I was raised religious in the Southern Baptist Church in the 50s/60s and along with humble guidance by my parents, I'm grateful for those roots. I don't however honor parts of those religious roots that suggested misogyny and other ancient, out-dated principles that are twisted to fit all sorts of political dogma such as their prosperity gospel.
So, I got tired of the hypocrisy and pick-and-choose bullshit years ago and no longer participate in any church or religion.

(2,275 posts)... religious roots.
I never see this point made in public. The media gives a nod to the religious left but rarely to spiritual atheists or humanism rooted deeply in the parables of Jesus and Moses.
