(7,769 posts)This MF'er spends *ALL* his time chasing GOP dollars out of state.
He violates the La. State Constitution by not informing the Lt. Governor of his out of state travel:
When Gov. Bobby Jindal is traveling out of state, Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne technically becomes governor. But Dardenne never knows when that happens because Jindal isnt sharing his travel schedule with him.
Jindal has been out-of-state more than 25 percent of the time since May campaigning for Republican presumptive presidential nominee Mitt Romney, raising money for GOP causes and candidates, and participating in conferences.
In response to a written question posed to the governor about why he did not notify Dardenne when he leaves Louisiana, Shannon Bates, Jindals press secretary, replied in an email: The press office sends a note out to press when the Governor leaves the state. The Governor remains the Governor wherever he is.
Article IV, Section 19 of the Louisiana Constitution states: When the governor is temporarily absent from the state, the lieutenant governor shall act as governor.

(48,988 posts)"We appreciate your response to our request and your approval," Jindal wrote. "However, the state's original request for federal assistance ... included a request for reimbursement for all emergency protective measures. The federal declaration of emergency only provides for direct federal assistance."

(180 posts)Excuse me Gov. Jindal, YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN BIG GOVERNMENT.
You have a NERVE even asking for ANY money from the Obama administration.
You HATE BIG GOVERNMENT, so don't even ask us BLUE STATES,which is where most the the tax dollars are coming from, for one red cent.
Go ask the KOCH BROTHERS, and all those PACS that are pouring money into all the political campaigns of Republicans. They're trying to break this government up. Who will bail you out next time, when you've dismantled our big government?
Sorry Mr. Jindal, you shouldn't get any money from our federal government.
NONE, ZERO, Zilch.

We hate you soooo much! But if you could send us some of that tax money you collected from job creators to help our communities weather this storm, that would be great. We promise in return that we will call you a socialist.

GOP hypocrites only hate big government until they need it.
This is what happens when you stop taking your meds.

(280 posts)Republicans offered our nation their leadership through the personage of one George W. Bush. Yet, Republicans are having a rally in Florida during hurricane season but no George Bush/Dick Cheney. I'm puzzled. How will they champion their party if they don't highlight their past success?
These following people will also not be in attendance:
Linda McMahon (R-CT), Heather Wilson (R-NM), Denny Rehberg (R-MO) and Dean Heller (R-NV).
Why? The candidates decision to skip the convention is solidly based on polls that show voters fear the Republican budget plan to end Medicare as we know it and replace it with a voucher system for private insurance.
According to one CNN poll, 58 percent of Americans of all ages and 74 percent of seniors oppose the budget.
