When viewed from the Russian's first forays of espionage in the U.S. this takes on an even more disastrous case against TrumpCo. I can't wait for the other 2 parts to complete the story of Trump's treasonous actions.

You're correct. No U.S. news outlet would come close to being brave enough to put this together. They will after the fact, but they're too timid to do it before Trump is out of office.

I ran across it on YouTube, and watched all three episodes, both yesterday and today. One amazing thing about this series is the amazing interviews they did, often with people who are usually unreachable by our press - like Russian people. I give it five stars!

It's wild with all these pathological liars talking on camera, Roger Stone, Felix Sater and of course, OrangeTurd the Rancid.

They were professional and very good. Its a whole different type of interaction when you want to actually get a real answer from someone you may even suspect of crimes, and/or do not like them personally during an interview. That is a special kind of skill. This is not a schadenfreude hit piece made for some kind of instant gratification for the audience, its crafted to reveal the truth which can only be procured from the mouths of pertinent actors by giving them the clear impression of your impartiality. Or even that you are sympathetic to their point of view. Or for some appeal to their ego. That takes a strong stomach and an iron will. Unlike Fox News, this truly is 'we report - you decide' type of journalism, where the facts will eventually damn those who seemed so cajoled into talking for the camera at an earlier date.

Preferably by pointing out how and why it was a lie. I get why you liked the first episode. It is well edited, fast paced, great ominous music, and they travel all over the world for the interviews. That is how I got sucked in. I assumed at some point they would really get into the evidence. But after watching all three, I was disappointed to see they only touched on it superficially. They gave way too much airtime to the liars...who have already gotten way too much airtime in the US.

Worse, in the third episode, they make it sound like the Mueller investigation is all part of the chaos Putin intended, instead of the crucial firewall for our democracy that it is. No bueno.

I'd just like more of these documentaries, from everywhere, America, England, Canada, Australia.... Even if flawed. The more we have voices countering the "No Collusion!" rants of Trump and his deplorable mimics, the better. And I think in North America, TV gives a topic, a person, a movement, a lot of credibility, whether that is fair or not. Whether it should have that kind of power is another topic. Fact is it does. Without reality TV phenom we would not have The Apprentice which introduced and then began the creation and normalization of Trumpism.

There should be a weeks long build up to the 'special'. Lots of graphics and ominous music. Not for my or your sake, but there is a vast audience that expects and is programed to connect these memes with an important television event. Whatever works to get eyeballs on the screen. Maddow is great, but there is a segment of the instant gratification public that won't sit through daily Maddow briefings.

Not only will most DUers not learn anything new, but I don't like how the series suggests that the Mueller investigation is itself part of the "discord" Putin tried to engineer in the US. That suggests that Mueller is Putin's unwitting puppet. Not cool. It also suggests that Russia set up the Trump tower meeting deliberately expecting to get caught, to create more chaos. That is crazy, and is not supported by any evidence. Plus, this series downplays the Steele dossier, repeatedly saying it is "uncorroborated" and suggests Steele's sources may have fed him false info. No mention is made that these Steele sources were subsequently killed or disappeared by Putin, indicating they did indeed give up sensitive info to Steele. Putin would have highly approved of this series' insinuations regarding the Steele dossier and the Trump Tower meeting.

Finally, this was filmed before the latest bombshell indictments, which further confirmed the Steele dossier.

Don't waste your time. I wish I could get the 3 hours of my life I spent watching this back.

on PBS did a great episode on it.

The issue is that every tv network in the USA should be doing this reporting every day. Rachel does this by interviewing investigative reporters and politicians and prosecutors who have lots of knowledge.

This should be bought by a network and played on American TV primetime.

It also makes me think...If Trump never decided to run for office, or even if he did and lost...would there be ANY investigations into his business dealings? Working with mobsters etc?
