But unfortunately we don't seem very able to do that all that often.

Tyrants in general are obsessed with power, and obsession almost always wins out over those with better morals but less drive to control the lives of others.

In the video the swastika exploding brings home your point. Yeah, Hitler was defeated, but only after he committed genocide and launched the bloodiest war in history and destroyed most of Europe.

But I still get a charge out of this song.

12. I really wasn't (exactly) trying to rain on your post

I just get very frustrated at the way we keep letting the bad guys win for a long time, then expect sacrifices from good people to right the situation, then hand the power back to the bad guys again.

I guess my real point was that we should have seen this coming a long time ago.
