1. The reason I live

in an isolated place is because I don't have any patience for this kind of assholery... I will go up and start berating the litterers and to the point of creating a major scene anymore. So I stay out along the wilderness edge to keep my distance from assholes like that. Sadly, they also come here to be like that too.

3. These people are everywhere

they litter in national/state/local parks, camp grounds, people's lawns, beaches, etc.

having been an NPS park ranger. It was traumatic being in that situation. Once you don the uniform, you become powerless. You have more power as a citizen to call out offenders. Seriously. I had to jump to a different agency because of it.

We have ZERO patience or tolerance for this kind of crap.

In some places, you will see signs with telephone numbers to call if you see someone throwing trash on the highway(s).

6. As a Portlander Third Generation

As a Portlander, third generation, I regularly pick up trash downtown or anywhere. The trash is part of the general deterioration of values and standards. This is due to ignorance and people think: “Society doesn’t care about me, and I am not a part of it. So i don’t care about society.” So many people have been left behind economically and they are rightfully angry. Trash is a result, part of our“I don’t care, I don’t have to care.” Culture.
