One of the things most, if not all, the areas have in common: the people eat little to no meat. (Most eat no meat; of the few that do, they may eat meat maybe once a year at a holiday village feast or something.)
The Seventh Day Adventists group in California is one of the Blue Zones. They don't eat meat, are exceptionally healthy, and live much longer than the ordinary American.
