Watch Chicago Mayor Lightfoot Shut Down A Political Stunt:

Back in the '80s alderman burke had a lot of power. He was known to be a racist and fought hard against Chicago's first black mayor Harold Washington who was very liberal. Burke had a lot of power then. He had some power under mayor rahm.

Now it's a new day.

I know this is very local. But, it's really cool.

The Machine at ward levels, and appointed Miguel Del Valle, former state and local comptroller and candidate for mayor, who was the best, but lost to Rahm.

She's taking back Chicago for its residents and taxpayers, I think. We'll see.

Thanks for the post.

It's damn annoying when good projects get dumbed down in this city because of that.

Too much pander-hackery to militant NIMBY's.

I’m glad Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s response is getting this well-deserved recognition.
