3. Great talk
Listened to the whole thing. Makes sense. He's right, Donald really does not know anything. His behavior on tariffs is just the current example. He actually thinks Mexico pays! Let's hope we can get rid of Trump in 2020.

4. I'm sorry, but headline is misleading to me. Headline conveys message Johnson is the Con Artist.
...Only if you look at the post, then you see, Johnson is saying: "Trump is the greatest con artist in the history of the world."
...Because of this, I looked around for Johnson as a great con artist. I had never heard of him. Then, I found out he was an author, very well known. Finally, I looked at the post itself with the picture. I haven't listened to it yet, but I will. If one only looks at Video and Multimedia Forum and looks at the list of posts, and a person doesn't know who he is, then that message could be conveyed. I actually never heard of him before I started looking up info on him. My fault, I should have known him, but yes, the headline was misleading to me. And yes, I really did think Johnson was the con artist, not thinking that the video itself explained that Trump was the con artist. ..And lastly, many of us do just look at the listings in the forums. Often I scroll down the list to see which I will listen, watch or read. If something seems important to an individual, that person may hit that post and look at it. If not, we skip it over. Rarely a post gets our curiosity, and we look up info on the name in the post, before we look at the entire post. That is what I did. I did not mean to be critical, but that is what happened. It is what I did and it is the truth. |

5. Totally agree. Everybody - please put the relevant words at the front of the headline.
Many great posters seem to think it fun to put just teasers as their subject lines: "You have to read this", or "My thoughts exactly".
If I recognize the poster's name I'll dig into the subject but otherwise just figure this is just another click-bait. |

6. Please note the date of this lecture - March 6, 2017
Nothing wrong with the fact that this lecture is over 2 years old. Everything he says is correct and true.
However many, many things have happened since the time of this lecture including the Mueller investigation and subsequent report. Not to mention the bulk of Chump's obstruction of justice actions which took place after this speech, including the firing of James Comey which led to the hiring of special investigator Mueller. David Cay Johnston's most recent book "It's Even Worse Than You Think" wasn't published until last year. I highly recommend this book. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
