With a child in the military, I can't be quite as blithe about death and destruction.

Venezuelan military is full of cowards. From what I know, that should be an easy surrender, they have never fought a war, they are only brave against people who do not shoot back at them.

Iran would be a disaster, USA casualties would be tremendous, I don't think people understand that Iran is not Iraq where all their armament had already been depleted by the Clinton administration, they had no way to fight, and as we all know, the Weapons of Mass Destruction was a lie.

I do hope that , for the safety of soldiers like your son, that we don't engage in a war with Iran, Venezuela would be similar to Granada, unless of course the Russians and the Chinese decide to protect Maduro, but that is unlikely.

For one, it will set the example to other kleptocracy that the end is not very good, as it should be Maduro's and his cronies who have pilferage Venezuela and are swimming in pools full of stolen money, who have tortured and killed innocent citizens, who have destroyed local industry, education, health, infrastructure, etc.

The other thing it would accomplish is that, and this I believe passes by without USA citizens noticing, but the Venezuelan kleptocracy has served as a model for this administration, I have lived the one in Venezuela and the similarities to which laws are changed, ignored, is astonishing and so in parallel with what happened in Venezuela. The buffoon is using Venezuela as a blueprint. Get rid of that regime and you get rid of the blueprint.

The political model of Russia and Venezuela are very different, one is a World power, the other is just a pawn.

Venezuela's blueprint was put together by Cuba, Fidel Castro. When you study the "Cuban Revolution" and the "Venezuelan Robolution" you will find the tactics are the same.

When Hugo Chavez became president he took his marching orders from Fidel Castro directly. Chavez used to travel to Cuba, at least, twice a month and was on the phone with Castro almost every day. If you look at all the communist regimes in South America you will find they all use the same Cuban blueprint.

Putin is just the buffoon's daddy, and of course he is advising him, but the parallel of what happened in Venezuela and is happening here is mind blowing, I see the symptoms, I know what they are, and they don't differ from that situation.
