Could Trump lie the United States into a war with Iran as part of his election campaign?

Iran and the US disagree on whether an Iranian vessel attacked an oil tanker or was trying to save it by removing a mine. Trump could use this to start a war with Iran and have us lied in to war with Iran.

The video isn’t clear wither it was an Iranian military vessel. We don’t know who placed the mine, if there was a mine on the oil tanker at all.

he's taking awhile to get around to it. I have a feeling that calmer voices (maybe including Kushner, who wants a Nobel Peace Prize someday) may have convinced Trump that doing nothing is the winning course of action. We have enough oil, if the price goes up because of insecurity in Gulf shipping, the oil reserves in our country can be tapped, and some red states will actually do well from that.

Trump craves being seen as a world leader, and restraint may have been sold to him as a way to accomplish that. Besides, he hates the Iranian mullahs, and if this was them doing the explosions, then it is a sign that sanctions are finally getting to them. It helps unite the rest of the world in keeping them intact.
