But it's time for another one like her to appear. Maybe before I die, we'll see another sort-of-like Barbara Jordan. Maxine Waters is something else, too, but with a different style. The eloquence is missing; she's more of a fire-spitting dragon. Don't even TRY to use up her time! I love Maxine.
Obama was eloquent, too.
I love eloquence in speeches. It's missing among so many leaders these days. I think Mayor Pete has it.
Anyway, for Jordan to have gotten as far as she did, she had to be special. I can't imagine the sorts of things she must have encountered along the way.
