Who is our Barbara Jordan? Where is our Barbara Jordan?

"I am not going to sit hear and be an idle spectator to the diminution, the subversion, the destruction, of the constitution."

when I graduated from UT Austin. She was truly an amazing orator. I still remember part of her speech.

Like Obama, there won't be another one.

But it's time for another one like her to appear. Maybe before I die, we'll see another sort-of-like Barbara Jordan. Maxine Waters is something else, too, but with a different style. The eloquence is missing; she's more of a fire-spitting dragon. Don't even TRY to use up her time! I love Maxine.

Obama was eloquent, too.

I love eloquence in speeches. It's missing among so many leaders these days. I think Mayor Pete has it.

Anyway, for Jordan to have gotten as far as she did, she had to be special. I can't imagine the sorts of things she must have encountered along the way.

speak about Trump's degradation of the constitution with the same moral clarity as she spoke about Nixon's. and that's what we need.
