older, retired, fixed income, have budgeted for Medicare "as is," looking at increasing health deterioration despite living a healthy lifestyle. Yet candidates want to tear it apart to benefit other people. I was in the ACA individual market, so I experienced first hand the lack of concern for ME compared to others, who are viewed as more important.

So thanks for continuing that "you don't matter...these others matter."

After years of voting for the concerns of others....food assistance, civil rights, abortion rights, child care, min. wage, the working class, etc. After years of voting for others, at detriment to myself in some cases, I find that there is almost no one who will vote for my concerns. The response is always not to address my issues, but to say, "But look how it helps these other people." There are few things that matter to a senior more than health care programs focused on the special needs of seniors and their situation in not living with other abilities to alter their financial situation.

neither do I recall suggesting you don’t matter. I was expressing what I believe to be the situation. I certainly did not mean to offend you.
