I had a liberal friend recently say she was opposed, and I didn't have the knowledge to explain my position in favor. I just knew that the legacy of slavery has lived on for generations and we need to correct it.

That was a government policy that disenfranchised AA's from purchasing homes and building generational wealth the way others in this country have. Redlining is more recent and easier to explain. And it can't be shrugged off with "my family didn't own slaves..." etc.

8. FANTASTIC ISSUE FOR 2020

My Italian immigrant grand parents were spat on and denied jobs. My uncles were beaten by police. I also have an Irish side. Of the 8 million in Ireland in the early 19th Cent 2 million died of British induced or at the minimum condoned famine. Another 2 million left for discrimination in America. The Irish Language was stolen from us by the English. I want compensation.

3.
