6. people do tend to become more noticeably racist when they go senile, I think

for two reasons: one being that if they were already racist they start forgetting to hide it, and the other being that racism is a mental shortcut which attracts those who are unable or unwilling to deal with nuance.

I have found a paper or two which reports that racism is one form of social inappropriateness which increases as brain function declines.
