Sadly, he could be right and America is already gone - but hopefully even SCOTUS won't go that far. If they do, we are dead as a country and everything we have accomplished since the Civil War is endangered.

BUT - will SCOTUS give one damn or will they protect Russia's prize over our constitution? i think they will go against the country and stand up for lawlessness and dictatorship because that's what they have done so far on many lesser constitutional violations.

The ones that voted to violate the Constitution could be brought up for trial without any outside appeal.

With the DoJ, etc. in Dem hands, we could see a 5 Justice frog march/conga line over to the Capital jail.

Don't think Roberts would get on board with stopping an Impeachment trial, but might slow walk it.

What the eff did he mean? He's 'using' their 2700 soldiers to do the job of American security because ...
Is that conversation in the secret safe too?
Did he just incriminate himself again?

edit: I can almost hear the conversation: Okay, you're not going to pay for the wall, but you gotta provide security, or that trade deal is going to make your economy bleed. You gotta play ball.

Now, that kind of political maneuvering is de rigueur in international politics, but when his wall is his firewall to his base, you gotta wonder where that border wall is. Don't ask the land owners who are having their land reclaimed under imminent domain - paid for by the USA taxpayers. Wholly Toledo Fatman!

Article 1, Section 3: tried before the Senate and conviction requires 2/3 vote of the members present.

Congress can impeach members of both the Executive and Judicial Branches. The SCOTUS Chief Justice acts as the judge when impeaching the President.

No where does the Constitution allow for any intervention by the other Branches and Executive Privilege is a construct that has not been adjudicated in an impeachment.

Tell Moscow Mitch to get off his dead arse, and have votes on some of the bills the Congress has passed, and are waiting on his desk. The (D)'s have worked on many, many bills that are then held up by Moscow Mitch who refuses to bring them up for a vote. Election security is just one of them. THAT is where the hold up is.

Made aware of the many, many Bills put forth by the Dems and passed by the House (often voted against by the Pugs) that would directly benefit the average citizen and their children.

Democrats won't work on legislating my ass!!

It's the Repugs, and Mc Turtle in particular, that are preventing Congress from passing needed legislation in the best interests of the average citizen.Things like health care, education and student debt, background checks, securing our elections, Internet neutrality and on and on...

IOW, issues that the average Joe, when poled, supports until they find out there's a Democrat involved.

I will guarantee you that the average Fox watcher and Rush listeners believe that Dems haven't done any legislating and have only tried to impeach Trump.
