SNL: Impeachment Cold Open

With the threat of impeachment looming, Donald Trump (Alex Baldwin) calls those closest to him including Rudy Giuliani (Kate McKinnon), Kanye West (Chris Redd), William Barr (Aidy Bryant), Mike Pence (Beck Bennett), Kim Jong-un (Bowen Yang), Jeanine Pirro (Cecily Strong) Eric and Don Jr. (Alex Moffat, Mikey Day), and Liev Schreiber.

5. ++++ Somehow, I don't think Alec is going to be able to stick with his pledge

But obviously someone had to do it tonight since this is the biggest news story out there - and it's far from over, so something tells me that he's going to be stuck doing it for awhile - and he really is very good - not to mention Kate McKinnon as Giuliani!

Any age or gender, she really is amazing! I know that a lot here were missing her impersonation of Jeff Sessions, but now we have Giuliani!

wouldn't be able to resist returning if something big broke and SNL needed a 'Trump'. Hopefully he'll stick it out until Trump is gone since I'm hopeful that won't be much longer.

Kate McKennon knocked it out of the park as usual too. She never ceases to amaze me with her talent.

I was away this weekend for a family party and didn't get to watch it, so I was so glad to see it! I'm so glad they are back and this was great! I really hope Trump saw it too. I'm sure it would have driven him insane.

Thanks again! I really appreciate it!

You sure deserve a nice break! And I knew that this would be worth seeing, was really hoping that Alec Baldwin would agree to come back, wouldn't be the same without him - and of course Kate McKinnon, LOL!

So I made a point of watching and posted the 4 political sketches, but this one was a worthy season opening!

spend three entire days around tons of people non-stop. I will probably start a separate thread about it in the lounge tomorrow. Just got back a little while ago and am exhausted from the whole thing.

I have missed DU and my cozy apartment and just being on my own!

Went back to Vermont for three days for a summer camp meetup, and it was a lot of fun to see old friends. We climbed Mount Mansfield on Monday, visited a sister camp on Tuesday where we got to spend some time with horses, and on Wednesday we went kayaking. But I'm not used to getting up so early or being so active, LOL, so it was nice to get home - and I missed Jack and Felix, my dog and my cat.
