Anti-war protesters are never welcome.

I just dug up this old article for another post and it brought back memories.

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/thedailymirror/2009/05/crowd-battles-lapd-as-war-protest-turns-violent-.html

I was supposed to be there that night, but my dad was taken to the hospital and I had to go there instead. Many of my friends including my roommate got bloodied as their asses were kicked by the police that night. The article doesn't mention that the mounted police plowed through the protestors with their frightened horses kicking anyone in their way. This was before the Chicago Convention which was even worse.

*memories*
