And someone who could put what was happening in the world into terms that Trump could appreciate and understand; I also believe that Mike Flynn's whole philosophy of national security, particularly the threat from radical Islam, was something that Trump resonated strongly with. The other top adviser that Trump had tremendous respect and admiration for was Steve Bannon; I think Trump admired his intellect.
