(8,148 posts)time. You loved her talent, the persona she adopted in public, I would think, but she is a mean bit
of business at a deep level.

(17,317 posts)I remember when she was just about the funniest woman in the world.

(6,991 posts)She may have been funny on television, but behind the scenes, and way back when she was starting out at various comedy clubs, I was told by someone who spent a fair amount of time around her (A fellow woman comic), that she was "nuts." Don't think quite as mentally unstable as she seems to be now, but this comedienne said that she was not a happy person, even though making everyone else laugh. Then after she made it, with Rosanne, and was marred to her first husband, another guy I knew who worked as a union-employed grip on the show told me that one day, he expected her to be put away. I said put away? He said "Put away in a mental institution, Mark my words" he said. I never watched one show of Rosanne. I have watched the Connors in support of those actors still remaining on the show, but never seen ONE original Rosanne show.
Here we are decades later, Rosanne is quite wealthy, and both people who made those predictions have been proven correct enough in my estimation .....Money can buy you only so much happiness--that's IF you believe that money can buy you REAL happiness that counts.

(7,820 posts)Being sidelined is doing her good, I think.
But the rambling? Last time I saw that, was from someone coming off some very strong stimulants, after long term use.
Hope the frayed brain connections heal well.
Thoughts and prayers, Roseann.
