How any American can justify abandon the brave folks who put their lives on the line for us is truly mind boggling. This needs to become a top campaign issue - and one that every American can support.

But we know that he works with causes he supports, caring for our veterans could be one of them - let alone an issue for our candidates. Vets shouldn't be dependent on charities to help them out, we owe them.

Caring for a country's vets should NOT be something charities should be needed for. It is a black mark on us that such is the case with us. Even my wife's dad, who lost a leg as a draftee at Stalingrad, was treated better by his government than ours treats many of our own people.
