(5,969 posts)but when he started to explain how Miller bullied other kids who were new in the country and learning English, that was really sad and frightening. People can change, but as was said in this bit, he's influencing policy decisions as the same bully he was back then.

(12,712 posts)It is more of a dark revelation than comedy, except for a little levity in his interactions with the reporter.
It was a revelation and I noted the mention of sociopath, which seems to fit.
Oh, and the omission of what he recounted was also curious. How could all that conversation turn into a mention of being Miller's friend?

(12,712 posts)They can navigate social situations and manipulate them adeptly.
Contrary to popular belief, sociopaths can be more "empathetic" than the rest of us. The thing is that they don't respond or react to that sensitivity the way we do; in other words, it doesn't bother them.
That is how they can play people so skillfully They tend to be able to read people easily from the slightest cues that most of us don't even notice, e.g., gait, body language, vocal inflections, etc. So, finding a mark and avoiding repercussions can be much easier for them. They either become horrendous killers or gravitate towards positions like CEO.
It is quite a mutation or adaptation and very curious indeed.
