Nothing will be done about it, either. Eventually, maybe, just maybe, the light of the public eye on religion's use as a money and sex tool will drive enough people away from these institutions that their impact on humanity will be marginalized. But "eventually" will not be in the lifetime of anyone alive today. The stain is just too deep and wide. And it's certainly not just christianity, but all religions. Every one of them. They won't easily be reformed because the worshippers, themselves, do not want reform, regard scandals as rarities, as "god" testing their faith -- and they pass that insanity onto their children who will, in turn, pass it on to theirs, and so on and so forth.
IMHO, but drawing from facts as revealed not by supernatural intervention but by simple fact-checking journalism.
