We live near the Illinois border with Iowa. I expect Iowa to legalize MJ shortly after Jesus returns.

I fully expect us to be one of the very last states to go legal. Right up there with North and South Dakota. I'll probably die before I see it.

Prices are a bit steep, with an 1/8th ounce running $55-$60, but I'm sure that will even out over time.
Just glad that sparking a joint will no longer be illegal, when done in your own home.
I'm in my mid-50's and have been outside the law since my teens.
Fortunately, I was never caught!
Anecdote-
When the drinking age went to 21, I was grandfathered-in for alcohol in Wisconsin, so we'd make frequent trips to Lake Geneva to booze it up.
One one such trip, someone needed to take a leak, so we pulled into the Nippersink Canoe base/launch to TCB.
A cop quickly spotted us and rolled-up to see what we were up to. My buddy had a brass one-hitter fall from his pocket when asked for his ID.
I have no idea how the officer didn't hear it hit the gravel parking lot, but we were all quickly on our way (minus one brass 'bat').

I feel blessed to be in a weed state, California. I have a big jar of buds right in front of me right now, that should last me a month or so. Plus chocolates in the freezer made with Cannabis oil. Yum. Oishii ne!

That the reason the PTB are allowing it is to give the masses a way to numb themselves for what is to come on Nov 3rd and thereafter........
