OMG I remember that! I was there too.

He was very active there as "Sailor". I still have some of those old chat logs. Those were some days!

I remember David Bowie Worlds (?) it was sort of a second-life for DB fans. Virtual worlds - not sure I'm remembering the name correctly. Quite interesting.

There is still a website and message boards but without him...it's just not the same.

There are some books from the 2000 and 2001 websites with artwork and some of the messageboard posts - including from "Sailor", poems and a special 9-11 section when everyone in the politics & religion section stopped fighting and everyone stood behind Americans who had been attacked. If you want more info about them, PM me and I'll send it along.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.

Tell me more...
