I'm not that confident, but I'm generally a pessimist.

Because of Barr, I would hope that a new Democratic president and fully Democratic Congress can re-institute the Independent Prosecutor law like they had with Watergate and Iran Contra and have them look at all the crimes of Trump and everybody close to him - Pence, Mnuchin, Barr, Pompeo, DeVos, Prince, Ross, Carson, Giuliani, etc

no more letting people off the hook to move on and put the past behind us -

I'm also a pessimist. Have been for decades. Damn glass is always fucking half empty. Or completely empty. And most of the time the glass is gone. Someone took it. Probably a republican. I used to be mostly positive, if not always optimistic. Hey, things change.

My son is even more pessimistic than I am, so he's really a downer to talk to.

The next Democratic president better look back. Hell, the next Democratic president should create an entirely new government agency tasked with looking back. And they should turn over every rock, issue subpoenas every day, and jail people who don't show up. And those found to have done wrong should be shamed to the extent that even fox won't have them on as commentators.

We've found out, just recently, that Nixon collided with the North Vietnamese to slow walk the peace talks. We found out that St Ronnie talked to the Iranians about holding the hostages until after the elections.. The big problem is that it has come out nothing has changed. When can we get this into the history books and the highschool class rooms. George II lied, got caught, and nothing happened. Knowing is not enough. We have to find some way of getting into the public consciousness.

Straight to the point Rich's piece in ny mag is an extraordinary perused. I trust he's correct. I figure he will be legitimized however it will take a long time for everything to turn out.
