It got to catastrophic proportions because he chose to ignore the repeated warnings until it was too late to contain. He was too busy and wasted three months calling it a hoax.

Make the title more catchy and descriptive. When we tweet, like on this one, all it says is "let's recap". IOW, probably getting fewer of our followers to open link.
