And later on the show, he'll be interviewing Yamiche Alcindor. I'll post them when they're available.

You know, I have been wondering what the deal was with the books, and he finally addressed it. Why "The Thorn Birds" and what was up w/ the books appearing and then disappearing. I'm sure he's just messing w/ our heads, but the book thing was so distracting. Also, does he seem to be going a little stir crazy to you? He just seems a little "different" lately. Anyway, it's still good to see him! Thanks again!

It's got to be pretty stressful, broadcasting from home - where he's also cooped up with 2 little kids - without everything he's used to, the writers and staff members that make the show run smoothly, let alone provide support and camaraderie. Plus, he's still expected to be smart - and funny! The past couple of nights he's done a little speech on who he misses, the lady who takes care of his wardrobe who always makes sure he's dressed properly and the stage manager who makes sure he's where he's supposed to be on time every night. It's got to be much tougher putting together a show this way and I give all of our late night hosts a lot of credit for making the effort and continuing to be there for us...

He seems like he needs a little vacation right now. Maybe if he could just enjoy some down time with his family and go for a walk in the woods or something. He definitely seems like he is under a lot of pressure. I do appreciate his effort, but I wouldn't blame him if he took a break.

And I've noticed that Colbert has started doing that, too, though he taped his Friday show on Thursdays. So at least Seth has a 3-day weekend to look forward to. But I doubt it's a real vacation since he still has to prepare for next week's shows. And it's got to be more stressful than usual since I'm sure he still has writers, but none of the studio crew right there to support him.
