When this started we had far less vectors for transmission, so we are seeing the spread of the virus ensuing from a slower growth.

I mean, it makes sense to me that, at this point, we should be hunkering down and strongly reinforcing and even increasing the restrictions because of that. There are far more people who can be carriers at this stage than before and, due to the asymptomatic transmission and a potential for exponential spread, we should see a dramatic increase, possibly horrendous from the way this is being handled right now.

It certainly does not help at all that there are so many red robots reacting acting impulsively in demonstrations of their right to spread infection and increase the death count. Rather than doing something about their freedoms, they are acting to take both freedom and life away from others. How free are you when you are deathly ill and fighting for your life in a hospital? How free are you if you get some of the potentially chronic illnesses, dialysis or amputation? Death is not the kind of freedom we want here, of course.

Rushing to reopen for the sake of stockholders and corporations, (yes, I know this is very tough on the workers and their families) is foolish and myopic, to say the least. It is equivalent to asking people to die for the economy as if they were going off to war to protect the country. This is not that. False equivalence.

It was increasing at about 25-35 % per day back when we had a few thousands, and now below 5% per day

We're at over a million..... if it goes back to the original rate NOW that means we could double in a few days, but it won't be thousands it would be millions.....
