The issue with his daughter reminds me of myself at the same age. I was once forced by my Dad to spend an entire day sitting in front of a bowl of tomato rice soup that he made me for lunch. I guess he gave me a choice, but I didn't realize what it actually tasted/smelled like! And that became a family joke for years...
