JetBlue planes fly low over NYC to salute healthcare workers

longer video

Maybe bailed out airlines can transport PPE and health care cargo instead? At least our military has been flying in medical supplies in cargo planes from overseas daily. Plus, not sure New Yorkers who lived through 9/11 like seeing low flying passenger jets.

and their pilots need to fly enough hours to maintain their licenses. I just feel there could be a better use of the planes and pilots

Between seagulls and migrating geese they might end up putting another jet in the Hudson.

If they want to burn jet fuel an actual humanitarian use might be justified. Excellent suggestion.

than having the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds fly over medical facilities where overworked frontline workers without proper PPEs could not drop everything and stand in the street to see a fleeting glance of military might. Who the f*ck is running this mess? Oh wait....

The best way to show appreciation to our healthcare workers is to make sure they all have the PPE needed. Unfortunately, that’s not exciting, so douchebag doesn’t care.

They could keep up their pilot flying hours and take advantage of cheap fuel by transporting essential cargo to support the frontline workers.

But, my criticism is directed more at Trump and the military. There is absolutely no reason to do these flyovers except for campaign ads to, somehow, demonstrate he's a "wartime president".

A complete waste of money, taking away from the real fights....how'd that "beautiful testing" of YOURS work, Trump???

so not sure Donny and Jared would put the flyover money to good use anyway. Taxpayer bailed out airlines could do it maybe outside of government control.

Seriously, is the whole world of corporate thought just 12 yrs old?!
Do they think they will look 'useful', patriotic, or just slower Blue Angles <<<also stupidly expensive and of no value to the medical personnel who need some god damn PPE!
