Just a clip from the reboot season they did last year. I think this is one of the best scenes the franchise has ever produced, and holy hell does it really nail the problem of today:

I'm so out-of-touch I had no idea that The X Files had been rebooted. An amazing scene, to be sure. I wonder where it was filmed?

2. That's part of the joke: it's a famous sculpture in Vancouver

The series was always shot in Canada, and there were some long-running jokes about how hard it was to make British Columbia look like Virginia. This scene is the only scene they shot at an iconic Vancouver location.

Also "reboot" isn't really the right word; they didn't start over they just caught up with all the characters however many years later.

3. They filmed a 10 week series redux about four years ago, I think.

It was before he who shall remain nameless befouled the WH.

4. This was season 11, which is definitely post-Trump

The first episode of the season has the smoking man attending Trump's inauguration.

I guess I just deliberately tuned that out. The shock and horror of all things tRump has just all blurred together into one stinking oleaginous orange puddle.
