It is stupid anyway because the only entities affected by HIPAA are health care providers, social service providers, insurance companies, and a few other entities who provide health services. HIPAA is about safely and privately handling medical and health information. She can tell anyone she wants about her health condition and the store can absolutely keep her from going in without a mask.

For those not in Los Angeles, Gelsons is a very nice local up-market grocery store. A place where upper middle class people shop.

Gelsons is actually very a good company, the employees are union, they're treated fairly. Higher quality food as well. The one near me has been excellent with lock down procedures, they only let a few in at a time and everyone needs a mask.
