sad for him. So, so sad. All he wanted was to make sure no other parent has to go through losing a child to overdose. He was exploited and used.

My heart doesn't weep nor bleed for tRump* supporters often, but, this guy, I believe at least, truly believed his story would be a beacon for other parents' pain and use it to take a serious look into drug addiction and recovery.

I have a friend whose son was so badly addicted to heroin, he was afraid what the end consequences were going to be. His son is clean almost a year now!

This guy seems like his heart is in the right place, even as a former tRump supporter. Losing his son, he just wanted to try and do something in his memory by supporting substance abuse efforts and then a person he thought could further those goals. He saw the light though and soon was faced with two losses: his son and the belief in some latter day false knight of the moment.

He may not be on our side just yet but I think his eyes have been opened with respect to the ugly club.

Thanks for this, s4p.

Still, he was in so deep that he had to struggle harder to just pull himself up to the rim of the cesspool before taking a look around.

There may be hope for him yet.

Can't you recognize a cheater and a con man when you see one? I shouted at my TV screen during the 2016 presidential campaign. But after all, Don the Con had spent a whole lifetime perfecting his con man skills, and his dark political genius and his sociopathy made him a great demagogue, and with a little help from the Russians, he won. All politicians lie at times, but with Trump it's a matter of degree - Trump lies almost ALL the time! Politics is the art of the possible, they say, and politicians are human, caught in situations where they feel they must fudge or bend the truth a bit to get certain political objectives to be achieved. But this wholesale trafficking in lies is way beyond politics as usual. Wake up, America! Grow up, America, and outgrow your political naivete.
