(282 posts)Looks like the cop doing the slashing has a shoulder tattoo. Shouldn't be too hard to id him.

(2,215 posts)and you complained about someone at work and they slashed your tires and every tire in the parking lot and you got it on film, think about the consequences.
But for a cop it is legal. But this is much worse. The cops standing around watching and by their presence protecting and not preventing this, it is like having the HR department standing around watching and supporting it. What we have in life is a hostile work environment ready to spring if you say anything. Every officer in that crowd needs to lose their job for dereliction of duty.

(4,820 posts)Ordered to do it to keep the cars from being driven....Of course one tire would not have been enough...all four...each car...we are talking thousands of dollars of damage.
Ever have your car towed? Expensive proposition.
Nothing to see here....move along?

(15,805 posts)Seriously, how petty and childish, and cowardly. The whole point of this type of behavior is revenge, which coincidentally, is just the sort of crap that Trump engages in and admires in others.
The cops are mad that they have to work the streets and mess with folks they dislike from the start. Maybe they can't club every single protestor into the asphalt, or shoot the in the face, or smirk they strangling the life out of them, so that leaves retaliation stunts like slashing tires, smashing cell phones and acting out their rage in folks who can't fight back.

(7,363 posts)Gordon said the patrol also targeted vehicles "that contained items used to cause harm during violent protests" such as rocks, concrete and sticks.
"While not a typical tactic, vehicles were being used as dangerous weapons and inhibited our ability to clear areas and keep areas safe where violent protests were occurring," he said. As in all operations of this size, there will be a review about how these decisions were made."
