Too much cursing and n-word usage (the actual word over and over). Too much use of derogatory terms for female genetalia. It wasn't funny, and I get it wasn't supposed to be during this time of crisis, but it went nowhere with no clear messaging and was disappointing to me. I saw the video. Hope the people who went didn't have to pay for that.

Hmmmmm........ you say you're "generally a fan" but there's "too much cursing and n-word usage" ....... well, uhmmmm errrrrr .... have you ever actually SEEN any of his stand up before? Or even his TV show? Your title and the first two sentences really cast more than a few doubts about that to me. Just saying.

in Harlem on a bill with Paul Mooney, Jennifer Lewis and others. All of his shows and Rick James bits too, Charlie Murphy, and the blind, black klansman and his refusal to take millions because they wanted him to do emasculating bits of a black man being a "Geraldine-type" woman character like Flip Wilson used to do.

Yeah, I know a little bit about him. The cursing and n-word and c-word usage, IMO, work in comedy schtick but are not appropriate for encapsulating and articulating the seriousness of the national crisis we are going through.

Call me old-fashioned if you want but what did he actually say about the crisis but some cursing and n-word and c-word usage? He mentioned Don Lemon negatively but Lemon has been doing nightly segments on the protests since they began.

You could hear the anger and hurt in his voice through the whole set. A few chuckles because ...well hey he's Dave Chappelle ... but I don't think this was meant to be a regular "set", I think the man is hurting.

It gave me chills. Thank you for posting these videos. It was the third viewing of the 8:46 performance for me. I have found it more powerful each time.
