Glenn Kirschner: Bill Barr fires U.S. Attorney Berman. Bolton's book reveals why.

Bill Barr fires Southern District of New York U.S. Attorney Berman after John Bolton's book reveals Trump's potential interference in cases being handled by the U.S. Attorney's office headed up Berman. Here are the details.

And seeing his passion for justice, I think he would be a good candidate for AG.

After four long years of Trump's lawlessness, we're gonna need a tough new sheriff in town.

3. I tried to make a list this afternoon

of all the crimes and it took me a while since there are so many. I wish I had seen this first, it would have saved me time.

My list...
He fired Berman because...
1. was investigateing Deutsche Bank
2. was investigating Giuliani and associates
3 was investigati g tRump and family taxes and organization
4. Barr lied about the Mueller report, influencing Stone's sentence....Obstruction of Justice
5. Lev and Igor's case is pending
6. He influenced Flynn case
7. SDNY was investigating investigating the Turkish bank Halkbank for allegedly evading U.S. sanctions against Iran... Turkey (Erdogan raised with Trump by handing him a memo at the G20 Summit in Buenos Aires in December 2018).
8. tRump's TAXES

4. Berman did step down because orangevirus did fire him, and then...

... the compulsive LIAR he is answered reporters with a (wait for it, no surprise there) LIE (yep, another one...) that "he had nothing to do with it" blah-blah-blah and went on to his pathetic "rally" flop.

I hope Berman will accept Nadler's invite and spill it all, ALL he knows about the unprecedented corruption of both baRr and the orangevirus!

Someone has to stand up!

8. The Orangevirus - or the Trumpvirus, as I Call It - Is Even More Deadly than Coronavirus

It'll turn a previously healthy and robustly well functioning part or agency of government, like the CDC, into rotten silly putty.

I wonder if these cases will be closed because Barr can get away with doing it through his "acting" lackey, and if the cases can be revived.

allowing the investigation to go forward but attempting to run out the clock while it did.

I guess Big Dummy and his mob wanted somebody who wouldn't allow it to go forward at all.

It doesn't seem like a sound strategy to me, Big Dummy could have jetted off in January and lived out his life as the fattest cat in Dubai, where there is no extradition treaty.

He seems to think he can make it all go away and get elected, instead, by making sure a lackey with no experience in anything much but being a lackey is in place. It's a typical mob move.

Will it work? Stay tuned.

Unless. . . Is there some place even more suitable? I mean, we know where they are owing afterwards, but until then??

And get his phone confiscated. Let him throw tantrums alone in there. That narcissist liar has destroyed so many lives but his age is a concern (he would plea "insanity" or "dementia" to try to get away with all his crimes scot-free, but that should not be allowed).

baRr should be disbarred, and do time according to his lawlessness and complicity.

pompous, miller, bannon, and the rest of the swamp should do time if proved guilty.

But I don't think Guantanamo is the right location.

Lock him up.

14. I'll leave that decision to the Biden DOJ ;)

Guantanamo? Very unlikely. The worst that could happen would be a blanket pardon for Federal Law felonies before the new administration is sworn in.

State Law statutes would be very tough to go after others than the orangevirus himself. (New York)

In the meantime, I can dream. Was thinking off-planet, but the other systems might see that as a hostile act.

16. There was also evidence turned up by some insiders in SDNY that the cases were fingering Barr
Sun Jun 21, 2020, 09:42 PM

and Barr was about to get outed and investigated for his part in the russia mess even during the campaign...before he was atty general. There was a thread about it somewhere on DU in the past 24 hours, and I think there was something about it on MSNBC or CNN.

Barr wasn't going to have Berman finish that investigation. He wasn't going to let Berman follow that money...and it was about money that Barr was involved with with the trump campaign.
