According to the WorldOMeter site right now

NY: Total Cases = 414,002 Total Deaths = 31,368
FL: Total Cases = 114,018 Total Deaths = 3,329

FL has 27% of NY's cases and 10.6% of it's deaths

Per Capita:

NY has 21,282K cases per 1M pop and 1,612 deaths per 1M pop
FL has 5,309 cases per 1M Pop and 155 deaths per 1M pop

To date, FL has fared much better. Obviously, FL is seeing a spike while NY has gotten past theirs. We'll see what the comparison looks like in a couple of months.

14. it's not the stats

it's the fact that Florida had everything to learn from New York, but did not even bother to heed the CDC's recommendations before reopening because their governor was too busy humping Trump.
