demonstrates how devastating Romney's comment is, what a nightmare for those in his camp who are trying to
earn a living.

Welcome to the big league boys. It does not get any better going forward and no amount of money can save
your guy either.

By the way, since he is calling 47% of Americans freeloaders, where is his TAX RETURNS? This from a guy who banks
out of the country he wants to rule.

"demonstrates......................what a nightmare for those in his camp who are trying to
earn a living. "

If they lose their jobs they can always become one of us - the 47% of Americans who are irresponsible and lazy, living off government handouts.

Romney and the Republicans say and do stuff like this - clueless, hateful, uninformed, misguided, thoughtless, hyper-partisan nonsense - and so-called independent voters are *still* not running to Obama in any significant numbers. I am stunned by this fact.

I know Obama is ahead by more than the margin of error at this point (which is a good thing). But, with these constant reminders of what conservatives in this country are really about, Obama should be polling in the mid to high 50's. This should be pointing to a landslide by now. Conservatives have no credibility and are unfit to lead the whole country. They are fit only to lead their bottom-feeding tea-party-Archie-Bunker 30% or so.

This scares me about the future of the country - that such backward people with such regressive views are still in the game and are running essentially neck and neck with the rest of us who can think.

Obama and the Dems have hardly had a misstep in months; we've been running a clean, intelligent game. The Republicans step on their dicks about three times a week with some horrendous new revelations and Neanderthal policies (i.e. "legitimate rape&quot and yet these pious "independent voters" are *still* sitting on the fence waiting for ... what the fuck are they waiting for?

The news is bleak for the down ticket people. If the election were held today Democrats would only pick up 5-6 seats in the House and likely narrowly lose control of the Senate. Congress has about a 12% approval rating and the voters are fine with that. How can so many people be so brain dead? It makes no sense. And were is the outrage on voter suppression. Why don't people care about this naked power grab.

When you click the "no tossup" map it shows 51-49 GOP in the Senate. The House is more difficult to arrive at a number but spiltting the "toss up" races would leave the Democrats picking up only about 5-6 seats.

That is not to say things can't change quickly, witness what has recently happened in the Senate race between Brown and Warren.

Having said that, I doubt we have current data on a number of these races but it is what we have to work with.

The GOP has no clue about the Constitution of the United States or "WE THE PEOPLE". They are really the Party of No.

Guess the unthinkable can happen if we let it. To this voter and Veteran I cannot vote or support these do nothing people in Washington DC and calling themselves Politicians.

Congress has really failed us.

Romney and Co. smile and smirk and say to us:
To HELL with all those “moochers” and “free-loaders”
on Medicare, or Veterans Benefits, or Pell Grants,
or on Social Security, or on Unemployment,
or on Medicaid, or on Food Stamps, or on Disability,
To HELL with all those struggling to stay afloat,
and to those in the Middle-class, or hoping to get there.
To HELL with the hungry, the homeless, the helpless,
and the hopeless, to all the biblical “least of these”.
To HELL with the “48% of America”
that Romney so easily dismisses and disrespects.
“Cause for sure --they’re all just shamelessly sponging off
his poor-poor-poor super-rich friends
- all those super-rich folks who want to buy this election,
...AND... the rest of this proud country.
Trickle-down....let them eat cake...it’s all the same. Always has been.
Crumbs for us, Cadillacs and car elevators and lower taxes for them.
That is, if they pay ANY at all....
Tell me - who are the REAL takers, the REAL Creators, the TRUE workers?
Whose sweat, on whose brows.. has built this great country?
The Romney’s of this world ...or us?
But we still have a voice.
It’s called our VOTE.
Use it. Tell them. Refute them. Challenge them.
Just say NO. Loud and Clear.
Say no to Romney & Co. ...and what they stand for.
For this is still our country. Our children’s country.
And we mean to keep it that way.

People in the lower income brackets pay a significant portion of their earning in numerous taxes. Including real estate taxes, even if a person rents they actually pay the tax, gasoline taxes, telephone taxes, and sales taxes. The last can be be very significant since they range as high as 8% in some areas. Add to this the numerous fees, such as for license plates, garbage collection, sewer fees, etc. It is a wonder that those making a minimum wage have anything left to even buy food. I think that it should also be pointed out that many in the military who are so gung ho in their support of the so-called conservatives fall into the category of dead beats Romney despises.
