Given how this president has behaved, this incredibly dangerous scenario is not far-fetched. In a desperate search for a political boost, he could release a coronavirus vaccine before it had been thoroughly tested and shown to be safe and effective

1. Yes, he would probably like to mandate Democrats to be vaccinated before the election.

2. no one I know will be willing to take any vaccine that comes out under trump for obvious reasons

3. Reasons why such a stunt could backfire:

1. The scientific community would speak out against an untested/unconfirmed vaccine
2. Most of the media would cover the outrage from the scientific community, and would warn viewers
3. The rest of the world would not be rushing to implement an untested/unconfirmed vaccine
4. The CEO’s/shareholders of the companies who would mass produce this October Surprise vaccine may not want to risk the liability

So, yes, Trump is desperate enough to try such a scheme, but it’s likely to be too little, too late. (Besides, aren’t most of his base anti-vaxxers anyway?)
