Absolutely. If truly afraid, he could have armed himself and observed from safety inside his home. Midnight Writer Jul 2020 #9

He obviously is not on the side of BLM. I’m glad his life is interrupted.

I really want to know if the homeowner has data to back up what he is saying in his statements (rant). If anyone advanced on a anyone, it was the homeowner's wife, who came down the driveway and followed the protesters waving her gun. I personally would have been staying in the safety of my home, not following the perceived threat.

there is symmetry between this and the murder of the jogger, Ahmaud Arbery. The difference is that the gate to the Satilla Shores community in Georgia wasn't physical.
So long as there are gated communities there will be gate crashers. So long as there is pride of possessions and position, there will be resentment and rage.
The guy is capitalizing on his petulance.

If you're fearing for your life you don't go out and make yourself a friggin' target. Both these idiots need to get some training on how to properly handle firearms too. He pointed to gun at his wife at one time, and his stupid wife had her finger on the trigger the whole time. Morons!
