The fact that Florida no longer publishes ICU beds being utilized was also reported by major media. Nobody really followed up on it (that I'm aware of)

A relative of mine is a nurse at a WPB hospital and they're in a terrible situation. The ICU is completely full, and the hospital is making life and death choices. One patient she was looking after, had received all the antibiotics and even hydroxychloriquine but was getting worse. At the end of her shift, she requested he be moved into ICU. When she returned the following day, she discovered that the hospital had put him down for a transfer to a hospice, because there were no more ICU beds available, and they prioritized younger better outcome patients. What will this patient's death be recorded as ?

Btw, a month ago she was transferred back to her elective surgery ward because the expected spike didn't occur. Now it's all hands on deck. Her colleague tested positive, and my relative was told not to come into work until she was tested. It took a week, unpaid, before she got the results which were thankfully negative, but she had huge problems getting tested in the first place...and she's a health worker.
