The initial law enforcement response was weak. I think the responding officers were out-of-their-league. That isn't an excuse, but a rather hopeful thought that this will ultimately be handled professionally.

Public lake with hodge-podge of public and private land surrounding it. I read elsewhere they may have been on an easement trail crossing a sliver of private land? Or the drunk assholes were actually on public land blocking access?
