1. Interesting you posted this. Years ago (50 to be exact) I saw that opera in the original....

....Metropolitan Opera House on Broadway in New York. That was before it was demolished in lieu of the new Opera House in Lincoln Center.

My brother is a Wagner freak!

Where at the UH-1 helicopters, the 1st Cavalry surfboards, and more importantly, where's the napalm? No Ride of the Valkyries is complete without napalm!

As with many other classics.




I like Wagner but I always remember this whenever I listen to that piece.
