Puddles Pity Party?

So, out of nowhere, this singing clown shows up on my Youtube recommendation. So random. Totally unknown to me, but maybe it's another case of my being out of the pop culture loop. However, behind his wonderful shtick is a really amazing voice, so I thought I'd share it:

The comments are pretty funny. On a different video, one person wrote,

"Who the fuck is this CLOWN?!?"

Puddles replied,

"That's how I feel everyday."

I don't think I've ever actually watched the show, but that showed up in my feed one day . . . loved it.

His entrance with a suitcase in one hand and a lantern in another reminded me of "The Seeker of Truth".
I always thought his act was very Silent Film/Vaudeville influenced, with hand gestures and facial expressions.

His early videos on YouTube are very entertaining.
You can appreciate how he interacts with his audience.

He has a fan group on Facebook
