I was able to hear him speak in person back in 2006 when he came to my little burg to campaign for our Democratic congressional candidate. He was just brilliant and the SRO crowd that turned out to see him just loved him - and I really believe he was responsible for turning this traditionally Republican district blue for the first time I can remember.
