elsewhere tonight after receiving evacuation orders - they are safe; their homes-not so much!

ordered to evacuate yesterday afternoon.

Big Basin is one of the last "giant redwood" groves in California. I am so sad.

I think he is OK... but I suspect his house is gone.

I offered to have him come stay with me for the duration.
