At the you tube site I was reading the comments, and it's interesting how many people remarked about the breaking of the little Blue Spruce. Most sad, some startled, etc. All of the surrounding devastation and we're hoping that tree makes it.

So much devastation happened so quickly, but that tree was especially sad to see.

I live along the coast and have experienced the eye of two hurricanes. That reminded me of that. Wow!

I watched it from my house in Des Moines but we didn’t have as much damage as Cedar Rapids.

Love to all my friends in CR.

See I thought it was just a little mini hurricane when it came through here but now I have a name to put to these kind of storms. I never knew this and I'm someone that has a goddamn storm spotter license!

But yeah back in 2012 we had a one come through here in the lasted about 10 minutes. Ended up snapping a branch and taking out our power. Ripped the whole electric box off the house.

Incredible. Yet all the houses in view seemed to hold up. Hats off to building codes, the builder and the COE (code enforcement officer).
